About the REAS

The search to buy or sell property begins with the right estate agent. REAS has made that selection process easier for you. The logo of REAS membership is a reminder to you, the consumer, that an agency must follow strict code of ethics and professional standards and act with honesty, integrity and transparency.

We undertake an exhaustive vetting procedure, examining all aspects of their business, their history, their character, and their potential. Our key roles include providing help and guidance for property professionals across a broad spectrum of disciplines while continually campaigning to make the Spanish property market more efficient and user-friendly for the home buying and selling public.

REAS Accredited Agency Membership is granted to real estate agents in Spain that meet and maintain the following criteria:

  • Be active in the industry with established premises of work.
  • Have a minimum of three years active experience both in the industry and in the area in which they are currently based.
  • Be financially stable and solvent.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Keep all their staff fully informed of REAS rules and ethics and be responsible for their staffs’ professional behaviour.
  • Pledge to abide by the REAS Code of Ethics.
